Ocean Wise Seafood Team

Growing up in the Howe Sound, Rudi developed a passion for the oceans at a very young age and always knew she would be doing work to support them. She pursued this interest through her studies at the University of Guelph, obtaining a Bachelors in Environment and Resource Management before returning to the West Coast to obtain her Masters in Environmental Planning at the University of British Columbia. She has experience in ecosystem restoration, nature-based solutions for coastal communities, ocean area mapping and has worked closely with subsistence fisheries in global locations. 

As someone that values collective action and tangible change and enjoys translating scientific data into more common language, Rudi is thrilled to collaborate with partners across Western Canada to help support their sustainable seafood goals.
